SIZING & FIT
How do vintage sizes work?
Vintage sizing does not correspond to modern sizing standards. A vintage size 40 may fit like a modern size 36. We always provide precise measurements in each listing — bust, waist, hips and length — all measured flat. Please refer to these rather than the label size when assessing fit.
Can I request additional measurements?
Absolutely. If you need a specific measurement that is not listed, feel free to contact us at paulinestaron@gmail.com before placing your order. We are happy to help you find the right fit.
AUTHENTICITY & CONDITION
Are all pieces authentic?
Yes, absolutely. Every piece sold by popievintage has been carefully authenticated before listing. We examine labels, construction, hardware, and fabric, and cross-reference archival sources where relevant. Please visit our Authentication page for full details on our process.
What condition are the pieces in?
Each listing includes a detailed condition description and photographs of any imperfections. We never hide flaws. As these are vintage pieces — many over 20 years old — minor signs of age are to be expected and are always disclosed.
Some pieces smell slightly — is that normal?
Yes, this is a natural characteristic of vintage textiles. Despite thorough cleaning, some garments may retain a faint scent absorbed over the years. A gentle airing or dry cleaning upon receipt is usually sufficient to resolve this. This is not considered a defect.
Do colours always match the photos?
We photograph all pieces in the best possible lighting conditions, but colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen settings and calibration. If you are unsure about a colour, please contact us and we will do our best to describe it accurately.
SHIPPING & RETURNS
Where do you ship to?
We ship worldwide via Colissimo (La Poste). Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your destination and the weight of the package. Please refer to our Shipping Policy for estimated delivery times by country.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are dispatched within 2 to 4 business days. Delivery times vary depending on your location: 2–3 business days for France, 3–7 days for Europe, and 7–21 days for the rest of the world. You will receive a tracking number by email once your order has been shipped.
Can I return or exchange an item?
All sales are final, as each piece is unique. Returns are only accepted in specific cases — such as receiving an item that significantly differs from its description or arriving damaged. Exchanges are considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to availability, and return shipping costs are at the customer's expense. Please read our full Return Policy for details.
Will I have to pay customs duties?
For orders shipped outside the European Union, customs duties and import taxes may apply upon delivery. These fees are set by your country's customs authority and are entirely at the buyer's expense. We recommend checking your local regulations before ordering.
PAYMENT & SECURITY
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) as well as other payment methods available via Shopify Payments. All transactions are fully secured and encrypted.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. All payments are processed securely through Shopify Payments, which is PCI DSS compliant. We never store or have access to your card details.
